Exit 27 was formed in a basement in the tiny little town of Maynard, Mass in early 1999. In the beginning it was just Matt McLaughlin and Matt Snow. They would often get together after school and jam in McLaughlin's basement. A couple of months later, they decided they wanted to start a band, and asked Scott Leach to play bass for them. After their first gig in the summer of 1999, they asked their pal Matt Murray if he wanted to join and play rhythm guitar for them. Now the four were together, and they needed a name. They wanted something short and catchy. They picked the nearest highway and the exit that was closest to Maynard - Exit 27, right off of 495. The guys liked it, and they stuck with it. Since that first summer, Exit 27 has played at many charity events, parties, and some club gigs. In February 2000 they made their first EP which had four songs on it. A year later, they went back to the studio and recorded a full version with eleven songs called "Road To Nowhere." The cd is now available, so pick it up. *Click Here To Buy* |
